I’m always so happy for my New Skinny Me clients when they achieve great and in some cases unexpected results with my healthy lifestyle programme.
I am even more humbled when they continue with the new healthy lifestyle they have accomplished as a result of following the 30 day New Skinny Me (NSM) programme, and continue to reap the rewards.
This one particular client actually did amazingly well and was extremely pleasantly surprised with her unexpected results physically and psychologically. Read on to discover her journey.
“It took me quite a long time to sign up for Amrit’s NSM programme – about a year in fact!
I must confess I was a bit sceptical, but also just wasn’t in the right frame of mind to start on it. I felt that I had such a lot of weight to lose and that it would be too tough for me to contemplate.
Finally though another year of not losing weight passed and I knew I had to do something. Amrit was part of my Athena networking group and I’d got to know her better over the past year and was ready to start to listen to her ideas. So I decided to start the NSM programme just after February half term 2013 as I knew before then I had a lot of social occasions going on and that it wouldn’t be a great time to start.
I decided not to take part in the NSM Facebook group and keep it a personal programme – I didn’t feel confident enough that I could follow the programme and didn’t want others to know. The first week was the hardest I won’t deny that, especially the headaches from coffee withdrawal, but I found that after a couple of days they were gone and I started even at that early stage to feel more energised.
In fact my time on NSM became a bit of a love affair with a tiny little protein called quinoa. Until Amrit I’d never heard of it but it really became a life changer for me. No more pasta, potatoes or bread but quinoa instead! It has become the staple in my diet and I also have quinoa puffs for breakfast. My son loves it too and he has lost weight as a result. In fact my son now exercises a lot more and shuns biscuits and crisps. My husband loves the new cooking with lots more vegetables, fish, chicken and far less red meat, which with a house of red meat men I thought would be tricky to oppose. And one of the biggest changes is that my husband and I no longer have urges to reach for the red wine. We used to drink a lot and we are now content with the odd glass or two at the weekend.
I thought I would really miss the wine but in fact I haven’t at all. Our wine expenditure has gone down massively so that’s a bonus too.
The NSM programme also gave me a huge energy boost and I was able to walk further with the dog as each day went by. My dog is now so happy as we can comfortably walk 10 miles in one go. I’m also back into swimming, aqua fit and have even started a spinning class.
I no longer feel tired or get those sugar dips, my diet has just completely changed. And from being someone who wanted to hide their part in the NSM programme I’m now happy to sing and shout it out loud. I’m proud to say I’ve lost in total 3 stone since February 2013 and I’m aiming to lose another one or one and a half stone but with no time frame in mind.
I’ve dropped from a dress size 20 to 16 and even some 16’s are now feeling loose!

I’m now getting lots of compliments from friends and family and it just simply makes you feel happier and more confident. If you are reading this and know that you need to make some changes in your diet I can really say that it works. Give it a go! You’ve got nothing to lose ………….
